A Philosophy of Education is Volume 6 of the Home Education Series by Charlotte Mason in which she examines her 20 Principles in-depth and provides curriculum guidance in all subjects. This edition has been edited to include the American English use of words, original page numbers noted within the text, translation of foreign phrases, and formatting that more easily conveys the original author's message. From Miss Mason's preface of this volume: "My object in offering this volume to the public is to urge upon all who are concerned with education a few salient principles which are generally either unknown or disregarded; and a few methods which, like that bathing in Jordan, are too simple to commend themselves to the 'general.' Yet these principles and methods make education entirely effectual."
